ACAA Seeking Pittsburgh Aviation Artifacts From 1952 to 1992

ALLEGHENY COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY SEEKING PITTSBURGH AVIATION ARTIFACTS FROM 1952 to 1992
PITTSBURGH, PA (March 5, 2010) – The Allegheny County Airport Authority is seeking historical artifacts for the purpose of display at the “1952 Airport Terminal Building Historic Display” located at the Pittsburgh International Airport.
Artifacts accepted would cover the period of time the former terminal was in operation from 1952 through 1992 including the terminal construction period prior to 1952. All artifacts would be reviewed for material content and significance. If accepted, artifacts would be on loan for permanent or temporary display based on donor wishes.
All artifacts will be displayed in secured cases and returned to donor if on temporary loan. Items could include old newspaper articles, photographs, souvenirs, airline materials (tickets, bag tags, schedules, menus, etc), art and other memorabilia from Greater Pittsburgh International Airport.
