Delta to Offer Customers Only Nonstop Service Between Salt Lake City and PIT

DELTA TO OFFER CUSTOMERS ONLY NONSTOP SERVICE BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY AND PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
PITTSBURGH, PA (December 8, 2006) – The Allegheny County Airport Authority announces that Delta Air Lines this winter will add new nonstop service between Salt Lake City and Pittsburgh International Airport. The new service, effective March 1, 2007, will be the only service between the two cities, offering customers convenient flight options for business or leisure travel. Reservations for flights can be made beginning now at www.Delta.com or by calling 800-221-1212. The airline is offering a special fare of $198 roundtrip.
“This new nonstop service will provide much needed access to West Coast markets for our business and leisure travelers. Salt Lake City is a major hub for Delta and this gives Pittsburgh travelers more choices to fly to Seattle, Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles as well as many other northwest cities. We are pleased to provide this new route and we encourage travelers to consider Delta on their next flight west,” explained Kent G. George, Executive Director, Allegheny County Airport Authority.
“Delta continues to compete on every coast and as we continue building our Salt Lake City hub we’re pleased to offer customers the only nonstop service to Pittsburgh,” said Bob Cortelyou, Delta’s vice president of Network Planning. “With the addition of new nonstop service to Pittsburgh and Charlotte in March 2007, Delta’s Salt Lake City hub will boast 348 flights to 109 destinations.”
Delta’s daily service to Pittsburgh will be operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines using the 70-seat Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft – offering an all-leather interior and two-class cabin with 10 seats in first class and 60 seats in economy.

From Pittsburgh International Airport, Delta also offers nine flights a day to Atlanta, six flights a day to Cincinnati and four flights a day to New York JFK which connect to over 25 international destinations worldwide.
