PIT Customer Appreciation Set for Friday, April 15

PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CUSTOMER APPRECIATION SET FOR FRIDAY, APRIL 15

PITTSBURGH, PA (April 13, 2011) – Beginning this week, many people will be catching flights for holiday travel. The Allegheny County Airport Authority and AIRMALL Pittsburgh are planning a great day for our customers.

From 10 am to 3 pm, this Friday, April 15, travelers can enjoy a prize wheel, free cookies and live music in the Airside Terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport. It is the airport’s way to kick off the spring and summer travel season and to thank passengers for flying at Pittsburgh International Airport.

“We have many activities planned and hope travelers come early to take advantage of some of the great shop specials. So if you are flying out on Friday morning come early and spend some time shopping or make a donation and win some excellent prizes,” said JoAnn Jenny, Director of Communications, Allegheny County Airport Authority.

The purpose of this outreach is to promote customer service and Pittsburgh International Airport’s N.I.C.E. customer service program. The Airport Authority has trained hundreds of employees in Resiliency Edge’s N.I.C.E. – Neutralizing Irritations Customers Experience, a program designed to solve customer problems. Employees are recognized and success stories are published on a website: http://humanresiliency.com/resiliency/pit/

For a donation, travelers and airport employees can spin the wheel to win great prizes. The proceeds benefit the United Way. All of the prizes were donated by the AIRMALL shops and dining places as well as the Allegheny County Airport Authority.

For children, a coloring table will be set up in the Airside Core featuring free HOP (the movie) Activity Books, sponsored by Paradies Shops.

There are many specials being offered by the AIRMALL. Here is a partial list.
