- TEMPORARY CLOSURES EARLY THURSDAY MORNING WHEN PICKING UP ARRIVING PASSENGERS
Pittsburgh, PA (October 6, 2010) – Pittsburgh International Airport’s Landside Roadway Repair Project will cause temporary road closures on the Public Arrivals Ramp Wednesday night October 6, 2010 from 10:30 pm to around 8:00 am, Thursday morning October 7, 2010, the Allegheny County Airport Authority announced. This is the ramp leading to baggage claim.
Motorists should anticipate periodic closures of approximately 12 minutes for concrete replacement.
Motorists picking up passengers should allow for extra time in arriving at the airport. Use caution and obey the construction speed limit signs when proceeding through the construction zone.
Motorists can avoid some of this road work when picking up passengers by parking in the short term garage. The fee is $1 for the first hour. There are frequently open spots reserved for hourly parking at the front of the garage facing the terminal.
