ALLEGHENY COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES JETBLUE TICKET GIVEAWAY ON PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FACEBOOK PAGE
- “USE IT OR LOSE IT:” Without JetBlue, Pittsburgh fares to New York and Boston would increase dramatically
PITTSBURGH, PA (March 7, 2011) – The Allegheny County Airport Authority is announcing a Facebook promotion to increase awareness of low-cost airlines and JetBlue Airways Pittsburgh-New York (JFK) flights at Pittsburgh International Airport. The contest is for two free tickets on JetBlue Airways. Contestants need to “Like” Pittsburgh International Airport and comment on JetBlue and low cost carriers on Facebook to enter the drawing. (http://www.facebook.com/PITairport)
Pittsburgh International Airport has fares today that are well below the national average. That is possible thanks to low-cost carriers including JetBlue, AirTran and Southwest. Without this air service, competition would be reduced and fares would climb back up.
“It is an important goal of the Allegheny County Airport Authority to make sure we do all that we can to keep these airlines at PIT. We want to hear from air travelers and send a message that if you don’t use it, you will lose it!” stated Glenn R. Mahone, Chairman, Allegheny County Airport Authority.
To enter, visit Pittsburgh International Airport’s Facebook page and post a comment telling us what you like about JetBlue. To post a comment, participants must first “Like” Pittsburgh International Airport’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PITairport. We want to know who has flown JetBlue and what you liked best about your experience. Those who enter by posting a comment are eligible to win two roundtrip tickets from Pittsburgh to Boston or New York on JetBlue.
The contest will run from March 7 to March 21 and a winner will be chosen on March 21 from the postings. The winner will receive of two Travel Authorization Letters each valid for roundtrip travel on JetBlue Airways from Pittsburgh International Airport to Boston or New York City (JFK). Travel needs to be completed by December 3, 2011.
