ALLEGHENY COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY SEEKING PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN FOR PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
PITTSBURGH, PA (August 17, 2011) – The Communications Department at the Allegheny County Airport Authority is seeking candidates for an unpaid internship in public relations.
College students who are majoring in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field can apply by emailing a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The intern will work at Pittsburgh International Airport and write for all Airport Authority publications and news releases. He or she will assist with the volunteer Ambassadors Program and all special events. The intern will also work in promoting both the Pittsburgh International Airport and Allegheny County Airport with the news media locally and nationally.
“The internship position will expose the student to communications and public relations aspects of working at an international airport and with the airline industry. The intern will receive hands on experience in all PR activities,” explained JoAnn Jenny, Director, Communications, Allegheny County Airport Authority.
Over the years, the communications department has been successful at attracting students from Penn State University, Indiana University of PA, and Clarion University who have gone on to great jobs in their chosen field.
