PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT BEGINS 2010 LANDSIDE ROADWAY REPAIR PROJECT
- ANTICIPATE TEMPORARY LANE RESTRICTIONS WHEN PICKING UP ARRIVING PASSENGERS
Pittsburgh, PA (July 9, 2010) – Pittsburgh International Airport will begin its 2010 Landside Roadway Repair project on Monday, July 12, the Allegheny County Airport Authority announced. The Public Arrival Ramp leading to baggage claim is the focus of the repair work.
The Public Arrival Ramp will be reduced to one lane, which may cause traffic congestion for the traveling public. Motorists picking up passengers should allow for extra time in arriving at the airport. Use caution and obey the construction speed limit signs when proceeding through the construction zone.
Motorists can avoid some of this road work when picking up passengers by parking in the short term garage. The fee is $1 for the first hour. There are frequently open spots reserved for hourly parking at the front of the garage facing the terminal.
All work for the 2010 Landside Roadway Repair project is expected to be completed by the middle of November.
